Interview Feedback

I was offered and accepted the job on Tuesday!

I think I'm going to be the only female in the team. So I should be able to get them all wrapped around my little finger!

I start at the beginning of next month. Although I wasn't nervous about the interview I am now quite nervous about starting work there. It's good nerves though.

I'm going to go shopping for a whole new work wardrobe - I always think it's nice to start a new job with new clothes, shoes, coat, handbag, accessories..... I have a feeling a few hundred of my redundancy will be going on that!

2nd Interview!

Forgot to mention before but I have a second interview for the job I went for. They also said they would be willing to wait for my official finish date with the company I currently work for!

My second interview is on Tuesday and I'm looking forward to it (I'm sure the nerves will hit closer to the time). The job is not what it seemed according to the job discription .... it's better!!

Tuesday 30 January 2007

I've got a job interview this afternoon. Not feeling any nerves as yet - probably as even if I get offered the job I'll have to turn it down. There is no way I'm not getting every last penny of my redundancy!! I also adore the people I work with at present and want to spend as much time as possible with them I guess. I'm a big softie really.
The job interview is not with those idiots from last week - have declined an interview with them. I do not want to work for someone who is so completely unprofessional. I've worked with Hatcher long enough!! (only teasing honey!)
Anyways.... got to go and prepare for this interview....

Who do they think they are?!?

I may have mentioned in another of my blogs that I am being made redundant due to a merger (takeover). So there I am happy in the fact that I will get a lot of redundancy money - yay! - not so happy in the fact that I have to find a new job and will no longer work with the amazing people (all but one!) I do now.
I have applied for two jobs so far, I have an interview for one of them next week and had a telephone interview for the other arranged for 4pm today. It sounds great right? Apply for two jobs and get asked for interviews for both. What doesn't sound so great is when you sit in the config room - which is not that comfortable - for 35 minutes waiting for the company to call ... over an hour later now (back at my desk obviously!) and still no call!
I contact the agency that set it up asking if perhaps there was a mixup in times/CV's/telephone number ..... she just says that this guy is a busy man and he was probably in a meeting! I guess I should just be glad it wasn't a face to face interview in which I sat in a reception somewhere for an hour waiting before giving up and going home.
This has really knocked my confidence for six - am I really that unimportant that he figured he could just leave me hanging on because he had better things to do?? Surely he could have asked someone to contact me and rearrange?!?
B*stard!! All I know now is that I don't want to work for this company and have such a "busy man" as my manager. Don't get me wrong I'll still rearrange the interview for the sake of practise and I'll also get my point across that I'm unimpressed with his "busy man" conduct. My time is just as precious as his - if not bloody more so! Someone had to get paid to cover whilst I was sat in the back waiting for that pratts bloody call!!
